Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia known as KBBI first published October 28, 1988 when the opening of the V Congress of Bahasa Indonesia. Since the dictionary has become a trusted referral source well among users in Indonesia and abroad. Every issue of the word, KBBI always regarded as the solution. In addition to the charge content, KBBI is composed not merely as a reference source, but the source of science, technology, and art, as well as the civilization of Indonesia. Therefore, references to the later, more rooted in the life of the Indonesian language in spite of efforts to improve the content does not always keep pace with the development of Indonesian vocabulary. Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia or KBBI’s database itself refers to the third edition, published by the Language Centre of Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia.

Given the importance of Bahasa Indonesia and so important to study Bahasa Indonesia, KBBI certainly be a very important reference base, both in academic circles and the general public.
